The short version
The app runs on your computer, no account needed, and your work stays in plain files on your machine. If you join the updates list, we keep your email and use it only to send you what you asked for. If you join the community, we keep your account details. Our analytics counts pages, not people, and sets no cookies. We never sell your data.
What we collect
Downloading the app: nothing. No account, no card, no personal data. You click the button, you get the app.
The updates list: your email address, only if you opt in. We confirm it with a double opt-in email, use it only to send the updates you asked for, and put an unsubscribe link in every email.
The community: a site account — your email, a display name, your profile, and the posts you write. Joining is optional.
Analytics: basic, privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics. It counts pages, not people. No ad tracking. No third-party ad cookies.

What the app does and doesn't send
IMPACT Studio is local-first. Your work lives in plain files on your machine. When the app talks to an AI, those requests go to the AI provider you connect — under your own account and that provider's terms. We don't receive or store your project content.
Services we use
A few services help us run the site. GridPane and Vultr host it. Cloudflare handles DNS, content delivery, our cookieless analytics, and download hosting. SendGrid sends our email. WordPress with Fluent plugins runs the site, the community, and the email list. We share data with these services only to run the site. We never sell it.
Cookies
The site sets no tracking cookies. If you join the community, you get a functional login cookie so the site remembers you're signed in. Our analytics is cookieless. That's why there's no cookie-consent banner — beyond the login cookie that makes your account work, there's nothing to consent to.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what we have about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Email tadrobert@stupidsimplestartup.com and it gets handled. Unsubscribing from the updates list is one click in any email. Deleting a community account removes the profile. We're a US-based small business serving a global audience, and we treat these requests the same no matter where you're writing from.

If anything changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
